DISCCRS SYMPOSIUM APPLICANTS: The first step is to register your dissertation using the form below. Then follow the full Symposium Application Instructions.

Once registered, you will automatically receive the weekly DISCCRS electronic newsletter. The newsletter includes professional resources, news articles, plus job and other announcements of interest to early career scientists with a strong interdisciplinary focus on climate change, impacts and solutions. Dissertation Abstract:

Provide a brief abstract of your PhD dissertation abstract. Your abstract must:
  1. Be no more than 3500 characters (roughly equal to an abstract in
    Times/Roman 12-point font that fits in a box that is 6.5" wide x 7.5" long (16.5 cm x 19 cm))
  2. Be written in English
  3. Be single spaced and NOT use indents for the first lines of paragraphs
  4. Use blank lines between paragraphs
  5. AVOID using special characters (e.g., use micro-m instead of µm;
    10 to the fourth power instead of 10^4; 10 to the minus four power instead of 10^-4; H2O or water instead of H2O.)
